As an artist, I am a participant in the journey of my subject, using oil paint to capture the transformative moments of nature's cycles. Each painting represents a singular moment or a time-lapse of interconnected moments. By incorporating insects and pollinators through graphite drawings, I aim to add symbolism, whimsy, and relevance to the artwork. I only paint locally grown flowers and include insects from my own yard, showing my connection to and respect for my local ecosystem.
